Assessment, verification and certification body, NQA, has become an event partner of the regional Health and Safety events beginning at Health and Safety Midlands, which takes place on the 12th and 13th September at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.

To celebrate the announcement, NQA is offering one visitor the chance to win a free 32GB iPad 2. To have a chance to win, visit the Health and Safety Events website and register for the Midlands event www.healthandsafetyevents.co.uk.

Commenting on the announcement, Jonathan Wilson, sector manager (health and safety) of NQA said, “There has been a marked improvement in the reduction of incident levels amongst organisations adopting appropriate health and safety management systems and training. We hope the free training NQA’s health & safety assessor, Andrew Burns Warren and I are delivering at these regional events, will assist more organisations looking to prevent reputational, economic or physical damage to their business and stakeholder groups.”

NQA works in partnership with a wide range of businesses, government departments and charitable organisations to help improve performance in quality, environment and health and safety management. At Health and Safety Midlands the company will be sharing its expertise through a seminar entitled ‘Using auditor training to achieve certification to OHSAS 18001’. The presentation will cover internal auditor techniques training and its systems vs inspection approach, progression to lead auditor, utilising training for certification and assessing your supply chain.

Throughout the two day event, experts from NQA will also be on hand (stand 15) to provide visitors with advice and guidance on any questions they may have.
