WernerCo, the world’s leading manufacturer and distributor of ladders and access equipment, has pledged its support to encourage safety and risk awareness when working at height by becoming the first Gold Sponsor of the No Falls Foundation’s recently launched Supporter Scheme.
As the first charity within the industry to offer advice and guidance to those working at height, WernerCo will become a Gold Sponsor helping to jointly promote safety guidelines for workers across a variety of sectors.
Falls from height are the leading cause of workplace accidents and fatalities and accounts for an estimated 38,000 non-fatal injuries to workers each year. The No Falls Foundation’s vital work aims to provide a greater level of prevention, awareness and support for those working at height.
Justin White, Managing Director for WernerCo UK, said: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring such a worthwhile charity that has a significant impact on the industry. As a business, we’re on the same mission to raise awareness of the accident rates and do everything possible to educate users.
“By sponsoring the No Falls Foundation we can continue our work of educating those working at height as well as supporting those whose lives have been affected by falls from height.”
As a Gold Sponsor, WernerCo will contribute to the work of the charity by supporting the Foundation’s mission to keep people safe by creating greater awareness of the risks associated with working at height, together with a better understanding of the causes of falls.
Hannah Williams, Charity Manager for the No Falls Foundation commented: “We are delighted to welcome WernerCo as a Gold Sponsorship Supporter of our newly launched Supporter Scheme. Their commitment to the foundation enables us to provide a broader range of research and assistance to individuals in need as part of our aim to increase fall awareness, as well as encourage the adoption of safety guidelines for those working at height.”
WernerCo prides itself in providing safe work at height equipment that goes through rigorous testing and meets all the relevant safety standards. Now WernerCo aims to go that step further to support and provide advice to users across the industry in order to reduce the number of accidents currently seen when working at height.
