Wastewater and water reuse company – Evides Industriewater – is proudly stepping into 2021 after celebrating another strong year for the business. Accolades include – to name but a few – successfully resecuring 100% of contracts, and the successful launch of a UK base which is already in discussions with several of the UK’s largest industrial sites.

Evides works in those industries where vast amounts of water are used in the production process and where innovative approaches to wastewater treatment and water reuse are an essential part of the production cycle. This includes industries such as Pharmaceutical, Steel and Petrochemical together with the Food and Beverage and Energy sectors including carbon capture and storage.

Earlier this year the business announced the successful completion of a project with one of the world’s largest manufacturer of chemical products: The Botlek Central Wastewater Treatment Plant (CAB) in Rotterdam processes industrial water for the 85-hectare Huntsman site – one of the largest in the world – and which processes the wastewater not only for the chemical manufacturer but also for a large number of other companies operating in the area.

In addition to this, the business signed a new long-term agreement with BASF which has since seen Evides Industriewater build a new demi water installation at the chemical firm’s site in Antwerp. This was also coupled with the company recently, renewing a 20-year contract with Dow Benelux which will see 100% water reuse from its plant in Terneuzen in the Netherlands and which is set to be one of the most innovative and sustainable water systems in the world.

And all of this was achieved alongside the company’s decision to launch a UK base that would transfer its skill set into this market space.

This decision came on the back of the company having already carved a reputation as one of Europe’s leading wastewater treatment and water reuse businesses and boasting some of the world’s largest brands as part of its impressive portfolio.

Taking advantage of the opportunities that the business has been presented with since this launch, has firmly confirmed Evides is well on its way to being as recognised in the UK as it is across the rest of Europe.

Evides Industriewater has been operating in Rotterdam since 1968. The company prides itself on providing an entire water cycle for its industrial clients that improves the efficiency of business processes, reduces environmental impact and significantly reduces operational risk.

Evides Industriewater supplies 100.3 million m³ of process water and purifies 98.8 million m³ of wastewater every year.

The company boasts clients including BASF, Royal Dutch Shell, Huntsman and AkzoNobel amongst its extensive customer base and – on behalf of these – Evides Industriewater operates 77 water treatment, wastewater treatment and water reuse plants across Europe.
