Uniform Brands has appointed a new CEO with effect from 7 August.

Kieron Traynor has joined the company having been a former Main Board Director of the Dewhirst Group where he grew and diversified the product and service portfolio.

Uniform Brands Limited is the leading European workwear group providing uniforms and protective clothing for customers in each and every business sector worldwide. With sales offices in the UK, Netherlands, Germany and Spain as well as an in-house manufacturing facility in Tunisia they serve thousands of customers throughout Europe. Uniform Brands Limited is the parent company of Simon Jersey, Ballyclare, Orcon and Haen.

With over 22 years experience in the sector, whilst at Dewhirst Kieron was MD of the menswear division as well as serving as a main Board Director during a period of strong revenue growth from £150m to £250m. He advised the Chairman on Group Strategy and leadership issues and drove significant synergies and overhead improvements. During his tenure Dewhirst developed the team and replica shirts for premium clubs including Manchester United and Barcelona with Nike and Adidas. They also supplied own label clothing to companies including Marks and Spencer, Debenhams, Ralph Lauren and T.M. Lewin.
