RS Components (RS), a trading brand of Electrocomponents, has significantly broadened its PPE offering with the addition of product ranges from Needlers, the food manufacturing PPE specialist acquired by Electrocomponents in December 2020.
The launch will see new brands added to the RS website which include Needlers own brands Pro-Fit and Reldeen, as well as Pollyboot, Tilsatec and Metsa. In addition, the product launch will expand the offering from existing brands already available through RS, such as PAL International and Cromwell Polythene. This puts RS among the UK’s top PPE suppliers, offering solutions across a variety of sectors within safety and PPE.

The Needlers product launch will offer a selection of fast-moving ranges from the PPE, gloves, hygiene and footwear portfolios, which will strengthen support to RS customers across a wide variety of sectors.
The acquisition of Needlers was part of Electrocomponents’ strategy to add high-quality, value-creating bolt-on acquisitions to the Group, under which RS operates and has significantly enhanced RS’s safety, hygiene and PPE offering. The Liscombe acquisition followed in February 2021, adding further industrial safety and PPE specialism to the offering and deepening RS’s range and expertise.
