New dates have been released for BSRIA’s centrally-based Manchester courses taking place between Thursday 2nd and Thursday 9th March 2017 and urges industry to book on. They are as follows:

Soft Landings Level 1

The BSRIA Soft Landings level 1 course will help clients and built environment professionals understand how Soft Landings can produce better-performing buildings.

It is a BSRIA-led process, developed through published guidance and the collaborative Soft Landings User Group, that aims to help bridge the gap between design intent and actual performance.

June Davis, Business Manager, BSRIA North, said: “This course will inform delegates about this quality-focused process that defines what clients require, establishes performance targets, continually reviews what is taking place, places greater emphasis on building readiness at handover and then stays involved with a building to fine-tune it and learn how it really performs.”

Building Services Legislation

This course considers the numerous pieces of legislation that affects the design, installation and operation of building services.

June continued: “Each piece of legislation has its own guidance documents and enforcement mechanisms and understanding how these apply to projects and buildings can be tricky. This course aims to demystify the process. It will also demonstrate using practical examples of how legislation is applied in real life and highlight recent and forthcoming changes to legislation.”
