A new contract has been awarded to Sira Consulting to provide Premier Oil (an oil and gas company with interests in the North Sea and Asia), with a range of compliance services with respect to ATEX 137 (Worker Protection Directive) and DSEAR (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations).
Premier identified that a review of the hazardous area drawings for its Balmoral FPV (Floating Production Vessel) was necessary, with a third party organisation required to assist.
The contract scope is to analyse and classify the platform and to prepare a report and updated drawings that will enable the proper selection and installation of equipment to be used safely in that environment.
