The British Compressed Gases Association (BCGA) has co-opted two leading female business leaders to its Council.

Suzanne Lowe and Lucia Sainz de Mier have been appointed to the leadership and governance roles in the Association. Both women have years of experience in the industry, operating at a highly strategic level. Suzanne is BOC’s Head of Operations for the UK and Ireland, and Lucia the Managing Director of Air Liquide UK.

The BCGA is the UK membership body for the compressed gases sector. Its members employ 19,000 people directly and account for an annual turnover of £2.7 billion. Committed to stringent quality, safety and environmental measures, BCGA members operate in a highly-regulated industry, with a focus on best practice in technical, safety, health and environmental issues.

Tim Hulbert, BCGA President, said: “Suzanne and Lucia bring a wealth of experience, coupled with a commitment to the compressed gases industry, to the Council.

“We are delighted to have them on board.”
