Bifold, official partner of the Marussia F1 team, has introduced its new Bifold Group Valve World free App

To help its customers submit bespoke bids faster and with greater clarity, obtain immediate 3D images and offer clients reduced lead times, Bifold has developed its new Bifold Group Valve World App. This includes interactive 3D configuration software and manufacturing systems to create instantaneous custom designs including 3D CAD models, 2D drafts, part numbers and descriptions and bill of materials.

Further benefits of the new App include the ability to view scale 3D augmented reality in one minute, produce scale 3D printed prototype models in one day, and deliver 316L stainless steel products within one week.

Visitors to Valve World Expo Dusseldorf on 27th-29th November 2012, will be able to explore a range of the company’s products through various viewing platforms, including iPad, iPhone and Android devices – stand number 3/A72 Hall 03. Visitors will also be able to take away a postcard containing a tracking image which works alongside the App.

The App is available from mid-November as a free download from bifold.co.uk/Apps/ValveWorld.

Bifold has also designed a range of compact ball and needle valve products (pictured) that have been developed for low/medium pressure applications with an operating range from 1,000psi/70 bar up to 10,000psi/690 bar.

Constructed from UNS S31600/S31603 Stainless Steel (alternative materials available), in compliance with NACE MR-01-75 as standard, the Ball Valve range is available as a single piece body design, reducing potential leak paths to the outside environment along with an anti-blow-out stem and pressure energised stem seal which ensures seal integrity. The use of PEEK seat and stem seal materials allows operation over a temperature range from -20°C to 180°C, with an alternative temperature range from -45°C to 225°C.

The product design incorporates lower and consistent torque to operate and is pressure tested in accordance with API 598 & BS EN 12266-1.

The Needle Valve range incorporates dynamic sealing which eliminates the loss of seal integrity and reduces the risk of fugitive emissions along with non-wetted parts. A compact design offers a light weight body with a smaller envelope, enabling closer mounting and reduction in the overall panel size. Direct mount to the back plate means that no panel cut-outs or spacers are required for vents and needle heads. The range also offers lower torque to operate meaning there is no need to mount on the back plate to counteract torque.
