Legrand has created an online platform for those wishing to utilise its world leading cable management solutions within the energy, power and construction industry’s leading 3D modelling software systems.
The portal details the integration of Legrand’s Swifts cable ladder and cable tray, Salamandre distribution trunking, and Cablofil’s wire mesh cable tray into Intergraph, AVEVA, Bentley Systems and Autodesk’s 3D modelling software.
The portal also provides a simple method of downloading 3D specification data for Intergraph and AVEVA, and easy access to each of the four 3D modelling systems.
Matt Crunden, marketing manager for Legrand’s cable management division, said: “Having integrated our cable management solutions into these systems it was vital for us to provide an easy means of accessing both them and our 3D specification data contained within them. www.legrand3d.co.uk does exactly this and we hope that it will play a major role in increasing the number of specifications received at the planning stage of projects.”
Legrand’s integration into the four systems is extensive. At present the following information can be obtained.
– Swifts IEC cable ladder and tray systems and Cablofil wire mesh cable tray are integrated into Intergraph’s PDS and SmartPlant 3D engineering software systems
– Salamandre distribution trunking and Swifts IEC cable tray, IEC cable ladder and SW steel wire cable tray are integrated into Bentley’s Raceway and Cable Management software and Building Electrical System
– Swifts IEC cable ladder, IEC cable tray and Cablofil wire mesh cable tray are integrated into AVEVA’s Plant Design Modelling System Swifts IEC cable ladder, Salamandre distribution and lighting trunking and Cablofil wire mesh cable tray are integrated into Autodesk’s CADmep+ plant design modelling system.
