With continuing uncertainty over local lockdown guidelines and COVID-secure measures, Bureau Veritas has launched a new verification service to help organisations achieve best practices across safety, hygiene and compliance in the ever-changing landscape.

Verify 360 has been developed in partnership with Shepper, a specialist in data collection, to provide cost-effective assurance of COVID-secure measures based on a physical assessment and detailed performance reports.

The assessment includes series of regular checks, covering best practice in social distancing, signage, one-way systems, face coverings, cleaning regimes, training regimes and more.

It has been designed by experts from Bureau Veritas, a global leader in testing, inspection and certification, and is completed by Shepper’s nationwide network of data collectors, ensuring a cost-effective approach across multiple sites, irrespective of location.

Vicky Shah, Retail and Hospitality Lead at Bureau Veritas, said: “The COVID-19 pandemic has been an extremely challenging time for the business community, forcing organisations to adapt in unprecedented ways, from social distancing and signage to new cleaning regimes and opening hours.

“With England currently under lockdown, this has added to the confusion for many businesses. Even the Director General of the CBI has said that business leaders were left uncertain about the restrictions.

“Clearly, peace of mind for returning customers and employees during this difficult time is critical, and that’s why we have teamed up with Shepper to develop this scalable, flexible and cost-effective service.

“Leveraging Shepper’s digital platform and network of data collection agents, Verify 360 undertakes a cost-effective assessment of COVID-secure measures to provide complete peace of mind that an organisation is maintaining best practices across safety, hygiene and compliance in the changing COVID landscape.

“By taking a 360° view of site performance throughout a client’s property portfolio, we can identify best practice sites and flag any areas for improvement, which helps to provide confidence and safeguard revenues. All with complete flexibility over how many sites are checked, how often, and on what scale.”

Lindsay Forster, Shepper CEO, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Bureau Veritas to deliver a dynamic service that considers the challenges and opportunities brought about by Covid-19 which all businesses will need to navigate.

“Bureau Veritas’ experience, authority and presence in the inspection industry, coupled with our innovation and diverse, adaptable network of local people, means that we are well placed to deliver quality data to our clients, fast to enable a programme of continuous improvement.”

Verify 360 follows the success of Bureau Veritas’s Restart Your Business solution, part of a suite of services developed to help businesses navigate the challenges of COVID-19.
