The British Safety Council’s NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (IGC), is now available as an e-learning version.

The training course focuses on international health and safety legislation and standards, and teaches delegates how to identify typical workplace hazards and implement suitable risk controls.

John Phillips, director of qualifications and standards at the British Safety Council, said, “Our new e-learning course allows delegates to study at their own pace and convenience using just a computer, making it a flexible and cost effective way of providing high quality health and safety training without the need for staff to travel to the UK or to regional centres to attend classroom-based training.”

Delegates undertaking the course are provided with study materials including videos, PDF study texts, on-screen e-learning summaries, practice questions and mock examinations, via a dedicated BSC learner website. Delegates must study two modules, undertake a practical assessment in their own workplace and complete two written examinations.
