Leading workwear manufacturer Ballyclare Limited has revealed that it has been shortlisted for an award at the forthcoming Safety Awards organised by the British Safety Industry Federation. The awards are held to recognise achievements which improve occupational health and safety levels.  They cover three areas – customer service, safety excellence and product innovation – and it is the latter one where Ballyclare has been shortlisted.

“Our entry centres on three garment designs which are genuinely innovative in their concept, design and performance – a hi vis waterproof jacket, hi vis waterproof overtrouser and hi vis waterproof salopette,” explains Ballyclare Sales and Marketing Director, Roger Foster. “They offer true multi-hazard protection for workers in industries such as rail, power and utilities, and have the sort of weatherproof, anti-static and highly breathable performance which people expect of the Ballyclare name. However, they also offer outstanding arc-protection and flame resistance. This dramatically improves the degree of safety and protection they provide. We also believe they are the only high visibility GO/RT (RIS-3279-TOM) garments available, making them especially well-suited to rail applications.

“These garments are the result of our considerable experience combined with input from customers, and they feature technology which is new to the health and safety industry. Most importantly though, this is the first time such a high-performance range of garment has been made available to this market, so we’ll certainly be keeping our fingers crossed for the final award results!”
