Arco, the UK’s leading safety company, will unveil its state-of-the-art mobile confined space training unit to visitors at this year’s Safety and Health Expo, an innovative training solution to help keep people safe when working in confined space situations. Arco will also be delivering innovation through the Arco sponsored Academy; a venue for vibrant, forward-thinking presentations that will educate visitors and demonstrate new products.
The mobile confined space training unit incorporates the latest technologies to simulate a variety of industrial confined space working scenarios. The unit enables trainees to be immersed in a highly realistic learning experience with real-time monitoring and video recording allowing live instruction and observer learning outside the tunnel system. The unit is deployed at the customers’ site and enables Arco Training and Consultancy to deliver accredited training programmes including all levels of City and Guilds approved courses, non-accredited or bespoke programmes, as well as face fit and breathing apparatus training. Visitors will be able to see inside the tunnel network and witness live demonstrations throughout the show (Hall 1, Stand: I90).
On the Arco stand (Hall 1, Stand F10), visitors will have the opportunity to meet Arco’s safety experts and see some of the latest safety innovations. This includes the very popular Arco Essentials range that offers the best possible value in a wide range of quality tested and assured products, from hi-vis hazardwear to sensory protection, gloves, protective footwear and workplace safety products.
The popular hard wearing Trojan Tradesman range of workwear will be on display together with the Trojan Baselayer products , made from HydroBase® fabric, to wick away sweat leaving you feeling warm, dry and comfortable in all conditions.
Recent Arco customer research showed that the three most important features that glove wearers were looking for were functionality, protection and comfort. Examples from Arco’s extensive offering of protective gloves will be on the stand including the Neoprene and Comfort ranges. The Arco Comfort gloves are manufactured from the thinnest, most lightweight yarns, offering a range of protection against mechanical risks, sharp objects and thermal hazards.
Other PPE features from Arco include a comprehensive range of head to toe protective products for the welding industry, respiratory protection including the Sundstrom SR700 powered air respirator and a range of disposable respirators ideally suited to short duration use and offering protection from particulate hazards. Visitors will be able to pick up copies of the recently published Arco Expert Guide to Hearing protection and sample the wide range of products available providing reliable protection against exposure to high noise levels
For the workplace, Arco will be offering essential safety and hygiene products including First Aid kits, spill kits and absorbents, safety signs and the popular Arco 3 Step Skin Care range.
The Arco sponsored Academy will be offering a programme of educative briefings and demonstrations bringing the latest ideas and safety innovations to life. The full programme of events is available from the Safety and Health Expo website www.safety-health-expo.co.uk.
