Machinery and manufacturing equipment safety specialists, Euchner (UK) Limited, is hosting a number of unique training events aimed squarely at individuals and organisations that would like to gain a better understanding of machinery safety. This includes company directors, occupational health and safety professionals, operational management, maintenance teams, HR personnel and other managers.

Too often occupational risk assessments undertaken on a manufacturing site do not include the specific legislation related to the machinery itself. The course covers this legislation affecting machinery and plant, the standards framework in place to ensure safe equipment and the measures an organisation should take to ensure equipment being purchased and subsequently used meets all the statutory requirements – ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Delegates will understand the importance of machine safety in a business, how to bridge the gap between machinery and occupational health and safety, and the responsibilities surrounding machinery safety for both new and existing equipment.

Managing machine safety through existing risk assessment processes and key legislation surrounding the ‘Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations and Use of Work Equipment Regulations are covered in detail.

The full-day course, which is entitled ‘Machine Safety for Operational Personnel’ will take place at the following locations and on the following dates:

  • Reading: 22nd September 2021
  • Leeds: 20th October 2021

Euchner’s UK&I Country Manager, David Dearden, explains:

“Frequently there is a gap between the traditional occupational H&S function and the machinery safety responsibility – we see a great number of risk assessments overlooking key standards including those relating to the safety related controls. Euchner developed this course to give a greater understanding of the requirements for machinery safety in a clear & concise way.”

Each course costs £295 per delegate and this includes comprehensive course notes, lunch and attendance certificate.
